Unite
to reject American interference
THE
call by seven US Congressmen to the Malaysian Government to give Datuk Seri Anwar
Ibrahim a new trial and report that a lobbyist has been engaged to persuade the American
Government to impose economic sanctions on Malaysia must
not be seen in isolation.
There
seems to be a new concerted foreign move to launch a campaign to unseat the Malaysian
leadership.
This time around, the US has set up a new battleground in Malaysia
between a group who is deeply engrossed in political schizophrenia and the present
leadership of Malaysia.
It is an irony that the same group of people whose past
image was tainted by American foreign policy advisers is now being praised as the
martyrs of democracy.
American foreign policies have often shown the ugly side of
its so-called democratic ideas towards the small and developing nations.
Examples
include the US stand on the Algerian democratic election, the plight of Afghanistan
after the war, the discrimination against Pakistan and the genocide in Iraq.
I
would share the idea with Tocquiville in Democracy in America that the US is the
manifestation of human freedom in modern times.
But is it also a necessary
reminder of Tocquiville that America must not lose its heart and conscience against
humanity.
Thus, interfering, impoverishing and genocide must not be the American
agenda the world, particularly small nations such as Malaysia.
Efforts to
galvanise support against Malaysia unfortunately have come from Malaysians themselves.
I’m
very puzzled. What sort of Malaysians can they be who go to the United States and
engage a lobby group to whip and whack Malaysia.
They seem to have no emotional
ties with the country where they were born in, raised and educated.
Their
vindictiveness to assume that everything would be settled the moment the present
leadership is changed.
It is a grave miscalculation to assume that exerting
political pressure on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad would lead to his
exit, as was the case with Suharto in Indonesia.
What they are doing will
ultimately help to unite the people of all races along the principle of sovereignty.
This
is because the move by the Congressmen is an intrusion into the sovereignty of Malaysia.
It
is disappointing that the power of the lobbyists could sway the US Congressmen into
believing something unsubstantiated.
It is a known fact that the Washington-based
lobbyists and the Congressmen always work hand in hand.
But the real villains are
those Malaysians who are taking all measures to punish their own country.
They
are not liberated in the true sense of the word.
Their freedom and jiwa merdeka
are imprisoned in a “democratic cage” made in the
United States.

It is
an obvious motive of UMNO Barua trying to invite all Malaysians to unite and condemn
BA’s move inviting outsider’s support. I urge to all Malaysians do not fall into
their trap. UMNO Barua is very desperate to garner people support. UMNO Barua has fooled
those people who had signed in the signature campaign organised by the Malaysian Youth
Council. These people did not understand the hidden agenda created by UMNO Barua.
Believe me, their real agenda is to gain political mileage. They manipulated the
principle of sovereignty and patriotism to fool Malaysians. They are trying very hard to
salvage their plight and at the same time calling all Malaysians to defend their beloved
country. That is their (UMNO Barua) intention to discredit BA.
I am calling to
all Malaysians to think what UMNO Barua and the Government has done to our country? They
are expert in creating uproar to the political scenario in our country. As a lack of
confidence to the political and economic stability, most of the foreign investors put
out the investment out of the country. As usual, I am hardly surprised to hear Mahazalim
points his finger to BA and BA had been turned into scapegoat for all the FDI failure. I
would like to know and ask to all Chinese people whether they still remember
Mahazalim’s Merdeka speech likening Suqiu group to COMMUNISTS in the past. If Chinese
people fully support the signature campaign organized by MYC, then Chinese people
totally agree to Mahazalim that they are COMMUNISTS. In other words, I assume the
Chinese people do not mind if we call them COMMUNISTS. Think about it carefully.
On
5 NOV 2000, Mahazalim was commenting on mass gathering of 100,000 rakyat last Sunday,
the opposition party violated the laws in order to provoke the government to take action
against them. When the action was taken, they will inform their friends overseas to
condemn the government curbing freedom. Bear in mind, the crazy dictator twisted the
fact. It was the anjing kurap on behalf of the government started first to provoke the
participants to retaliate to them. Anjing kurap had abused their powers to disperse the
crowds. The opposition had alleged that the leaders and participants were beaten heavily
by anjing kurap. Unfortunately (not surprised), the anjing kurap brutality was not
highlighted in the mainstream media.
To add salt to injury, Mahazalim did not
mention anjing kurap brutalities and even has the guts to blame the opposition for
breaking the law by demonstrating illegally. Such this remarks is very unethical and
irresponsible. Mahazalim is the real culprit who gave the green light to anjing kurap to
restrain and beat the crowds. Such excessive use of force, brutality and vandalism by
anjing kurap cannot be tolerated. The lapdogs (anjing kurap) must be very happy because
of attractive goodies given to them in Budget 2001 recently. So, the anjing kurap feel
indebted to Mahazalim. The anjing kurap willingly to obey the instruction from Mahazalim
without objection in order to return the favor to him. The anjng kurap will remain
faithful and royal to their master (Mahazalim).
Articles 10 as enshrined in
Federal Constitution allow people to assembly and express their political opinion. The
mass gathering was legal and undisputed in the Federal Constitution. If Malaysians
supported the signature campaign, then they agree and will not condone Mahazalim’s
wrongdoings. That means, Malaysians gave the green light in principle and allows the
anjing kurap to beat participants and opposition leaders. Malaysians should ask
themselves if the gathering involved more than 5 people is considered illegal, why the
anjing kurap did not take an action to 2 demonstrations held at Putrajaya and Selangor
Chinese Assembly Hall led by Mahazalim and Abdul Aziz respectively last August? Why
Mahazalim and Abdul Aziz were not detained by anjing kurap for breaking the law? Until
now, Mahazalim and Abdul Aziz remain scot-free. Why there was a
double standard in
this case?
The government is not deserved to be supported by Malaysians. By
right, Malaysians should teach them a good lesson by not responding their call to
protest and condemn the BA and seven US Congressmen. I am disappointed Malaysians do not
use their thinking cap and intelligent effectively. I advice to all Malaysians stop
responding to MYC’s move to collect ONE MILLION signatures. Watch out! Do not fall
into their trap!
